This policy explains what Bar Prep Pro stores about you, why, who processes it, and how to ask for it to be deleted. Bar Prep Pro is operated by {{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}} as an invite-only pilot.
What we store
- Account details: your name, email address, role (student or administrator) and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Sign-in sessions: a session record for each device you sign in on, including the IP address and browser details sent with the sign-in request.
- Study activity: the practice sessions and mock tests you start, the answers you select, time spent per question, and your scores.
- Problem reports: the question you reported, the category you chose, any message you wrote, and the session it came from.
- AI tutor usage logs: which question you asked about, the answer you had selected, the AI model used, whether the request succeeded, timing and token counts. We use these to apply daily limits, track costs and find problems.
Cookies and browser storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
How we use your information
- to sign you in and keep your account secure;
- to save your progress and show you your own results and analytics;
- to review problem reports and fix or retire faulty questions;
- to run the AI tutor, apply its usage limits and monitor its cost and reliability.
We do not sell your personal information.
AI processing
When you ask the AI tutor to explain a question, the question content (including its answer options and explanation) and the answer you selected are sent to Google Cloud Vertex AI to generate the explanation. Your name and email address are not sent. Explanations may be saved and shown again to other users who selected the same answer to the same question; they do not contain your personal details.
Service providers (subprocessors)
- Contabo hosts the application and its database.
- Google Cloud (Vertex AI) generates AI tutor explanations.
Who can see your information
Pilot administrators can see your name, email address, role, how many questions you have answered, when you were last active, and any problem reports you submit. Other students cannot see your information.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and study data while you take part in the pilot. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account and data, email hello@barpreppro.corelab.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above.
